Supreme Kai's role in DBZ
At one point there were 4 supreme kais, North Supreme Kai, South Supreme Kai, West Supreme Kai (the only girl in the supreme kais) and East Supreme Kai (or just plain ol Supreme Kai) An evil magican, Bibidi, and unleashed a power creature called Majin Buu, who had powers high enough to destroy worlds. The supreme kais, who were the rulers of the universe, attempted to stop it. West Supreme Kai and North Supreme Kai were killed in the attempt. South Supreme Kai was absorbed by Buu, making the creature even stronger. When it near the end of supreme kai in his turn to battle, the leader of the supreme kai saved his life and was absorbed instead. Since no one was left, Supreme Kai became the only and strongest kai in the universe, leaving him to rule over all life in the universe. He appears in the episodes when he finds out that Bapidi, Bipidis son, is going to try and bring back Buu. He comes to earth during the world tournament to warn the z fighters about Buu.
